Why this matters
A blood-sugar dip in the small hours can release wake-up hormones. This is one reason 2–3am is so common. Stabilising evening fuel reduces that trigger without turning dinner into a project.
DAY 3 OF 7
Address the blood-sugar layer behind 2–3am waking.
A blood-sugar dip in the small hours can release wake-up hormones. This is one reason 2–3am is so common. Stabilising evening fuel reduces that trigger without turning dinner into a project.
Eating very lightly at night in the name of being ‘good’, then waking wired and empty. Undereating in the evening can work against sleep.
Think: protein plus a slow carbohydrate — eggs on toast, fish and rice, yoghurt and oats. Keep the optional night snack boring and small.
You may notice fewer jolting wake-ups, or a slightly softer landing when you do wake. One night is information, not a verdict.
